A photo calendar app where each day holds one photo
DailyAlbum shows your months as a calendar of photographs: one picture per day, the day's note underneath, and years you can scroll back through. Nothing to arrange, nothing to lay out. You keep shooting; one photo a day is chosen and the calendar fills itself.
What the calendar does
Each square is one day and one photo. A month reads as a month, not as a pile of thumbnails.
Scroll back and the years are there. Open any past date and choose a different photo from the ones taken that day.
Search finds the words you wrote, so "first snow" or "birthday" brings back the day.
Not a calendar you print
Services like Calmaker and photo-calendar printing turn your pictures into a paper calendar or a photo book you receive in the post. That is a different thing: a gift, once a year. DailyAlbum is the everyday version that lives on your phone, and it also hangs today's photo framed on your screen and on your family's devices.
Not a scheduling app either
Some people attach photos to entries in a shared scheduling app. That works for planning. DailyAlbum has no events and no invitations: the calendar exists only to hold one photo a day and to let you look back.
On this day, and the frame
The same date in earlier years appears on the day's screen, so a walk this September sits next to the same walk two years ago. Frame Mode hangs the day's photo in a wooden frame, on your iPhone, on an iPad on a stand, or on a TV over AirPlay.

Can I fill in past days?
Yes. Open any date and choose from the photos taken that day.
Is it free?
The calendar, one photo a day, notes, search, iCloud sync of your choices and notes, widgets and StandBy are free.
Where are the photos stored?
Only in your own iPhone and iCloud. The app records which photo you chose and what you wrote.
