Looking for something simpler than a family album app?
Family album apps hold everything: every photo, every video, comments, a feed to scroll. If that is more than your family needs, the alternative is not another album. It is one photo a day, framed, arriving on their screen with nothing to scroll.
What changes when it is one a day
Nobody has to keep the album full. You shoot as usual; one photo is chosen for the day and that is what your family sees.
There is no feed and no comments, so grandparents see today's picture large and nothing else. Nothing to learn, nothing to miss.
A day is a photo and one line, so looking back is a walk through days rather than a scroll through thousands of files.
What you give up
No video. No unlimited archive of everything. No comments or likes. No printing service. If your family wants those, an album app serves you better and we would rather say so.
DailyAlbum keeps still photos, one a day, and puts them in a frame in your family's home.
What it costs on each side
Viewing is free for the family you invite, with no account. The person sharing needs DailyAlbum Family, a monthly or yearly subscription with the first month free. Everything else, including the calendar and Frame Mode with a time limit, is free.
Where the photos live
In your own iPhone and iCloud. Shared days reach your family through your own iCloud's shared area, not through a server of ours. There is no account on either side.
Questions
Can my family still see photos if I stop paying?
They keep the days they already received. New days stop arriving.
Can I share only some days?
Yes. Share every day, or only the days whose photo you tag. You can change this at any time.
Does it work on Android?
No. iPhone and iPad only, iOS 17 or later.
